Healing People for business

Stress at work is the primary occupational disease. More than a million people are at risk of burnout and other work-related mental illnesses each year. Employees can be sick for months, which increases the costs for an employer enormously.

How and why does this occur and can it be prevented in time?

Body-oriented coaching as prevention of illness

Healing People offers tailor-made coaching programs and works with your employee on their personal request for help. Next to lifestyle factors, we look at basic psychological needs. Together with the employee, we make a suitable treatment plan.

As a result, employees make sustainable progress in the areas of vitality, (mental) resilience, lifestyle and health. This gives them the energy, motivation and resilience to get the most out of their personal qualities. The result for your organization: less absenteeism, more productive employees and fewer employees who experience annoying stress.

Healing people focuses on the physical and psychological basic needs of your employee. Example of requests for help are:

  • How can I better learn recognize and indicate my limits?
  • How do I deal with stress?
  • What can I do to relax more?
  • What gives me energy and what costs me energy?
  • How do I change my lifestyle and how can I keep it up?

We offer a tailored coaching process, consisting of coaching and (massage) therapy. In addition, there is a choice of nutritional advice, vitamin and body research, kinesiology, breath-work, yoga and movement and regression and / or hypnotherapy.

We offer all of this under one roof and create a customized treatment plan with the employee.

Cost of downtime: :
recovery from a burnout takes an average of 10 months and costs €60,000

Stress at work is the primary occupational disease. More than a million people are at risk of burnout and other work-related mental illnesses (TNO) each year. Sickness absence of 4.2 percent cost 15,330,000 days of absence in 2020; of which 550,000 days related to burnout (Intermediair, based on the most recent figures of sick reports at ArboNed, 2021).

Human TotalCare saw the average length of absence from a burnout rise from 280 to almost 300 days last year. One case therefore means ten months of misery (Intermediair, based on the most recent figures of sick reports to ArboNed, 2021). The costs for the employer amount to an average of 60,000 euros, according to the Silver Cross. But there are also the consequences for the other personnel: due to the loss of experience and expertise, the pressure on the other personnel is increasing. Reasons enough for companies to prioritize the prevention of burnout and stress complaints from employees. After all, prevention is better than cure.

"Given the imminently high costs, including replacement costs, as an organization it is better to invest that €1,500 to €2,000 in professional guidance in time, so that the employee receives help quickly and therefore returns to work sooner." says Van Amerongen-Leertouwer, director of medical affairs and occupational physician at ArboNed.
